Juvéderm is long-lasting gel dermal filler that replaces the hyaluronic acid (HA) that skin naturally loses from aging. HA is a natural moisturizer for the skin and when less is produced, the skin looses firmness and elasticity. This causes wrinkles in areas such as the edges of the lips and around the mouth and nose. Juvéderm is a nonsurgical treatment to restore the face’s youthful contours for those who do not want or are not ready for a full facelift. Patients desiring facial rejuvenation may schedule a consultation with Dr. Aimee Nguyen who will provide a thorough consultation and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.

"Kybella - I’ve been wanting Kybella for a little over 2 years and decided to take the plunge and do it on my 29th birthday (January 17, 2020). For reference I’m 109lbs and 5ft. I’ve always had a small double chin but it got worse with each pregnancy (2) and never went away like the rest of my pregnancy weight. During the consultation I was recommended 2 sessions (2nd session scheduled March 6th) 3 vials each time. We did the 1st session immediately after the consultation. The numbing was the most painful part, after that everything was a breeze.I’ll post pics of my journey. Today is day 1 following treatment (not 24hrs post yet) and I have some sensitivity and my “double chin” is jiggly. Some slight bruising but other than that no issues. I was advised to sleep elevated which I did and will continue to do so for the next 2 nights at least. I iced 3-4 times yesterday and so far 1 time today. I’ll post pics today of a couple months before/a couple weeks before/immediately after procedure/today (1 day after)."- E. / RealSelf / Jan 18, 2020
"AMAZING! Takes her time and really listens to what is going on."- A.C. / Google / Dec 31, 2019
"Dr. Nguyen and her staff are excellent. Not only are they professional and friendly but they take the time to explain treatment options thoroughly without pressure. Dr. Nguyen took a conservative approach prior to recommending surgery and after years of managing my symptoms we made the decision to move forward with a more permanent solution. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner."- T.N. / Google / Dec 19, 2019
During a Juvéderm treatment, the face will be thoroughly cleansed and the areas where the injections will go in will be marked with ink. This filler product contains the numbing agent, lidocaine, so the injections cause very little discomfort, but numbing cream may be added if the patient is uncomfortable. After the injections, the Juvéderm will be massaged evenly across the face. Patients should allow 30 minutes for the actual treatment, and then 15-30 minutes to rest after the treatment. There may be some temporary redness and tingling, but usually light activity can be resumed right away and exercise can be resumed after 1 day.
Juvéderm sessions usually cost between $400 and $1,000 and the effects of one session last up to one year. The total cost is based on the amount of Juvéderm used during the session.

Juvederm Or Cosmetic Surgery?
Juvéderm, just like other cosmetic derma fillers, can create smooth, softer skin and diminish facial wrinkles for up to a full year. Over time, the effects of a filler product may decrease and at that time, patients may consider cosmetic surgery. In addition, in some cases, a filler will not help improve wrinkles, only surgery will. This is a discussion that can be had during the initial consultation.
Why Choose Juvederm?
Juvéderm is FDA approved and is shown to be safe and effective for the reduction of wrinkles. In addition, the results from a single treatment are longer lasting than some of the other fillers on the market. There are two different formulations of Juvéderm that are used for specific problem areas on the face, which means more personalized treatment planning for excellent results.
Where is it Used?
Juvéderm is usually recommended for the lips and nasolabial folds (laugh lines). It is also used to fill in the crack (the number "11") known as the glabella folds between the eyebrows. It is common to combine this filler with a wrinkle relaxer.
